YouTube and the Creator
I was asked to identify an Opportunity-Weakness area for YouTube's business model, and analyse a solution for battling the problem. I found that YouTube Music was underused, and could be used to host podcasts to boost app usage. YouTube is the most preferred app for podcast listeners, and adding podcasts as an official feature could be a new direction for the app. The project was sent to John Hebda, Director, Product Strategy & Operations at YouTube for feedback.
